Abstract: |
The fundamental principle and instrumentation of laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) was briefly introduced in this paper. New developments for femtosecond laser, ultraviolet laser, mixed solid-liquid aerosol sampling device, assembly of small reference samples and in-situ statistical distribution analysis technique were reviewed in detail. At the end, an outlook for applications of elemental content analysis technique and spacial distribution characterization technique and their importances in LA-ICP-MS field was given. |
