Determination of Trace Anions in High-purity Hydrofluoric Acid by Capillary Ion Chromatography with Column-switching Technique

Abstract:
      In this paper, a capillary ion chromatography- column switching method was established to determine trace anions in high-purity hydrofluoric acid solutions. All of the sample pretreatment and separation were performed on the newest ICS-5000 (Thermo Fisher) instrument. The RSDs of retention time and peak area were 0.02%~0.12% and 0.63%~1.89%, respectively. And the linear ranges of anions were 1~100 μg/L with correlation coefficients larger than 0.9998. The limits of detection (S/N=3) for Cl-,Br-,NO3-,and PO43- were 2.13 ~32.61 ng/L, and the recoveries for Cl-,Br-,NO3-,and PO43- were 85.3%~103.9%. The method has been applied to analyze trace anions in true sample with satisfactory results.
