Abstract:
A new ion chromatographic method was established for determination of three kinds of small organic acid anions[CH3CH(OH)COO-,CH3CH2COO-,CH3COO-] in the PLA degradation product. The PLA degradation products formed by five-days’ degradation reatction were filtered and then tested by ion chromatography. The chromatographic conditions were: sodium bicarbonate (6 mmol/L) as eluent, the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min, and conductivity detection. The correlation coefficients of the standard calibration curves for lactic acid, formic acid, and acetic acid were all above 0.991. The RSDs for the three kinds of anions were between 0.91% and 3.7%.This method is convenient, accurate, and low cost.
