Abstract: |
A method for the determination of bromide and iodide in mineral water by Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) was proposed. The influence of pH values on bromine and iodine determination were compared. The memory effects existed in the bromide and iodide measurement process were eliminated. Under optimal working conditions, the detection limits for iodine and bromine were 0.112 μg/L and 0.6 3μg/L, respectively. The relative standard deviation was 1.8% for I and 3.1% for Br. The recoveries of the method were between 96% to107%. A national water standard was analyzed using this method and the results was consisted with the recommended value . |
