Abstract:
The samples were leached with sulfuric acid (10%) solution containing odium sulfite to selectively dissolve copper oxide minerals. After filtration, bromine saturated hydrochloric acid was added to the solution to mask a few metal elements such as arsenic and antimony, etc. A small amount of sulphuric acid was added as a supplement. After being evaporated to dryness, the samples were dissolved with sulphuric acid and titrated with standard solution of sodium thiosulfate to determine the content of acid soluble copper in copper oxide ore. The method is fast, stable and reliable. The fourteen daily analysis production samples were analyzed and the results were consistent with that by electro-gravimetric method.
