Abstract:
A new analytical method was proposed to directly determine trace impurity elements (non-rare-earth elements and rare-earth elements) in rare earth phosphors by alkali fusion - inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The detection limits for the methord were in the found in the range: non-rare-earth element 0.007-1.036μg/g, rare-earth element 0.001-0.057μg/g, RSD<10%. The method has a simple sample pretreatment, low detection limit, good reproducibility, providing reliable analytical methods for the quality control of the high purity rare earth phosphor products.
