Abstract:
By strict control oxygen purification, crucible pretreatment, sample processing and sample weighting selection, flux species and flux weighting selection, etc., we established a method that was use to determine trace carbon and sulfur in steel. The experimental results showed that when the comparator level was optimized 3, the analysis time was 40s, the crucibles were burned for 45min at 1350℃, selected tungsten as flux, and drying 3h at 140℃ before using, the flux weighting was 1.5g and the sample weighting was 0.5g, we can obtain the optimum condition which can analysis 0.01~0.001% carbon-sulfur sample in steel. This method has good repeatability and high accuracy, and it is pratical in the actual operation.
