Abstract:
      The method of pressed pellet sample to determine copper, iron, silicon dioxide, calcium oxide and other components in slag and matte was established by using X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometey. A homemade material was used as a reference for calibration, and it also solved the problem of no standard reference material for these five components analysis in slag and matte. Matrix interference was corrected by using the comparison of the analytical results for manual working curve, and the method could meet the requirement of practical production by quality management. The results showed that the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.01%~0.28%. The analytical result for each component by this method is in good agreement with that by volumetric analysis method.
