Abstract:
Based on the oxidation color reaction between IO3- and chlorpromazine hydrochloride, and the chromomeric extent was linear with the content of IO3-,a new spectrophotometric method for the determination of iodine was developed. Under the optimized analytical conditions, the maximum absorption wavelength was at 526 nm, the linear regression equation was y=1.214x+0.011 8 with 0.998 9 correlation coefficient, and the molal absorption coefficient was 5.2×104 L/(mol·cm). The content of iodine had a linear relationship in the range of 0~24 μg/10mL. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was 1.2%~2.2% with 97.5%~102.0% recovery. This method has easy operation, high sensitivity and good selectivity for iodine analysis in salt samples.
