Abstract:
According to the characteristics of matrix composition of matte, a pre-treatment method of copper in matte was improved on the base of traditional iodimetry. The sample was dissolved by nitrate–potassium chlorate for removing sulfur, and then copper was obtained by ammonia-ammonium chloride secondary precipitation. Thus, the content of copper could be directly determined. The proposed method can not only meet the requirement for rapid determination copper in matte by iodimetry, but also reduce the procedure of atomic absorption and supplement. The results indicated that the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.61%~1.9%. The method has been verified by national certified reference materials and compared with other methods, and the accuracy and precision were satisfactory. It is characterized by convenience, rapid analytical speed and efficiency to apply.
