Abstract:
A new method for the determination of Ca, Mg and Zn in water-glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid was established by ICP-AES. The spectral interferences were eliminated by matrix matching method and the sampling volume was reduced, which leading to direct sampling owing to decreasing the atomization gas flow, improving the cooler flow and reducing the peristaltic pump speed. The results showed that the relative standard deviation (RSD) of each determined element was less than 5%, the linear correlation coefficient was over 0.999, and the detection limits were less than 0.15 mg/L with 97%~105% recovery. The method has quick analytical speed, easy operation and reliable analytical results without sample pre-treatment. It is suitable for the determination of the contents of Ca, Mg and Zn in water-glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid.
