Abstract:
A method has been established for the determination of manganese (Mn) in copper original ores and tailings by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The effects of the medium acidity and the coexisting ions on the determination results were studied with hydrochloric acid medium. The relative standard deviation (RSD) and the recovery for Mn were in the range of 0.69%~6.9% and 96.6%~104%, respectively. The detection limit was 0.008 5 μg/mL. The results indicate that this method has good accuracy, high precision and strong practicality. The proposed method was validated by the analysis of certified reference materials and could satisfy the requirements for routine quantitative analysis.
