Abstract:
An inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) method was used for the determination of platinum in alumina-based catalysts. The samples were preconcentrated by fire assay and dissolved in nitric acid-hydrochloric acid medium. Proportion scheme of fire assay method and cupellation condition were studied. The coexisting element interference during determination was discussed. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the recovery was in the range of 97.7%~102.0%. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 3%. The results showed that this method can meet the requirements of routine analysis of platinum in alumina-based catalysts.
