Abstract:
An ion chromatography method for simultaneously determining four inorganic elements (Na, K, Ca and Mg) in the powders, shells, leaves and stalks of tartary buckwheat was established. Comparative study on the above-mentioned elements was performed. The spike recovery tests were conducted and the average recovery for each element was 94.00%~102.7%. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.88%~2.8% with 0.89~999.10 μg/L detection limit. It provides a simple, rapid, accurate and stable method to measure inorganic elements in the powders, shells, leaves and stalks of tartary buckwheat. The results show that the contents of Ca and Mg in the tartary buckwheat leaves are very high, reaching 17 208.8 mg/kg and 3 954.5 mg/kg, respectively. The contents of K and Na in shells are also very high (4 849.1 mg/kg for K and 1 269.2 mg/kg for Na). The contents of nutrient elements such as Ca and Mg in the leaves are higher than those in the powders. Therefore, the leaves of tartary buckwheat have development and application value.
