Abstract:
A method for the determination of silver in composite granule of fire assay by automatic potentiometric titration was reported. The samples were dissolved in nitric acid, and the potassium thiocyanate standard solution was used for titration. Instrumental operating conditions were optimized, and the effects of acidity and coexistent elements on the determination of silver were also investigated. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) were between 0.53% and 0.89%.The results were consistent with those obtained by potassium rhodanide titration and impurity reduction method. The good accuracy and high precision of the method meet the requirement for silver determination.
