Abstract:
The loading amount of Pt on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was determined by inductively-coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) after the acid-treatment process in an autoclave. The instrument parameters and the analytical lines of Pt were discussed. The Pt concentration was determined at the optimum conditions. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5% (n=5) and the recoveries were in the range of 101 % ~ 113 %. This method is practical and can be successfully applied to the detection of Pt on carbon nanotubes.
