Abstract:
The treatment of heavy metal ions in desulfurization wastewater by electrocoagulation was studied in the paper, including the analysis of influence factors which electrocoagulation time, current density, pH and aeration rate of wastewater was involved, kinetic model and electrocoagulation product. The results showed that the removal efficiency was 90% when the time of the electrolytic treatment was 40min, the current density was 4mA/cm2, the initial pH value of the wastewater was 7, the aeration rate was 0.4m3/h. Electrocoagulation product was polynuclear hydroxyl complexes of iron and the removal process has the characteristics of a pseudo-first order kinetics.
