Abstract:
In order to achieve full and efficient digestion purposes,to determine the concentrations of 14 elements in fingernails and hair samples by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) with graphite digestion. The human fingernails were digested with concentrated nitric acid in a graphite furnace under the temperature 110℃ then diluted 50 times. Under the corresponding standard series, similar internal standard elements were selected according to the atomic mass of different elements, and the concentration of the corresponding elements was calculated. Evaluate the methodological characteristics of this method, such as linearity of standard curve, precision, standard recovery experiment, reference of quality control substance, etc. The standard curves of 14 elements in human fingernail samples have a good linearity (R2=0.999). The total CV range was 0.58%—6.7%. The recoveries were in the range of 80.8%~113%.This method was used to detect that hair similar to fingernails had certification control, and the test results were all within the standard value range of the certificate. The method has the advantages of sufficient sample digestion, high safety, good correlation of standard curve, wide linear range, many metal elements detected, and good precision and accuracy.
