Abstract:
In order to accurately determine the content of metal elements in hydrogels, a method based on wet digestion and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) was established to determine the absolute content of Mg in hydrogels. ICP-AES was used with 279.078 as the analysis line, RF power: 1.1 kW; Integration time: 5 s; Atomizer pressure: 0.4 MPa; Cooling gas: 20.0 L/min; Speed of the peristaltic pump: 30 r/min; Plasma gas flow rate: 10.0 L/min; Samples were tested three times. The difference in the digestion degree of sample using nitric acid, nitric acid-perchloric acid wet digestion and nitric acid-microwave digestion was compared. Results showed that there were almost no significant differences between the Mg content compared with the samples digested 2 hours at 110 ℃ by nitric acid, nitric acid - perchloric acid (1:1), and nitric acid – microwave digestion method. The relative standard deviations (RSD, n=3) of the intraday and interday of the method were 0.38% and 1.19%, respectively and the recoveries were 97.57% ~ 98.23%. The method is accurate, applicability and reliable. It is suitable for the determination of Mg in hydrogel, and can provide a reference for the quantitation of metallic elements in hydrogel.
