| Abstract: |
| The absorbed water and loss on ignition in mineral products were studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) method. The accuracy and precision of the method were validated. Several mineral products were tested by TGA and common muffle furnace burning method. By comparison, it concluded that there was no significant difference in the analysis results between the two methods. But the TGA method has some advantages such as convenience, higher accuracy and reliability, thus it is the preferred method that should be used for the determination of absorbed water and loss on ignition in mineral products |
