Abstract:
An quantative method for the determination of O, N and H in Nd-Fe-B sample by pulsed melting time-of-flight mass spectrometry was established. Under the selected conditions, the detection limit of O, N and H is 0.021 μg/g, 0.060 μg/g, 0.002 μg/g, respectively. The calibration curves for the three elements were obtained using a series of CRMs samples. All linear correlation coefficients R2 were better than 0.99. This method has been applied to analyze real Nd-Fe-B samples. The analytical results by the new method are consistent with those by the traditional pulsed melting IR and TCD(thermal conductivity detection ) method.
