Abstract:
Sulfur in cobalt carbonate samples was determined by infrared absorption spectrometry method with high frequency combustion. In the process of determination, the samples were firstly burned and then melted in pure iron and tungsten fluxing medium. This method solved the problems of moisture interference and incomplete sample melting. The method can accurately determine the sulfur with mass fraction in cobalt carbonate as 0.001%~0.01%.The spiked recovery rates are between 98.4%~101.4% and relative standard deviations are between 2.8%~6.3%.
